Dear families,

We are happy to share that the Government of Alberta has approved four modular classrooms for Hugh A. Bennett School. Announced in July 2024, these modulars will add 100 additional student spaces to your school. We estimate that the modular installation will begin in early 2025 and be ready for students in the spring.

Measures will be taken to ensure the safety of students and community members who use the playground or school site during construction. This includes enclosing the construction area, scheduling work to avoid disrupting learning, and operating within specific hours according to municipal bylaws.

You will continue to be updated about construction. As we near the end of construction, the school will follow the call-back process to offer families an opportunity to return to Hugh A. Bennett School based on the priority lists. The call-back process occurs at various points in the school year when space and resources are available.
